CARMEN TOTINO

Carmen Totino is a member of the Gage Gallery Arts Collective in Victoria, BC, where her artwork is on display. She is also an exhibiting member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and an affiliate of the Victoria FCA Chapter. In 2026, Totino received an Honorable Mention award at the Sooke Fine Art Show.Totino's artwork is an investigation of the relationships we hold with the spaces we inhabit. With oil painting and poetry, she works to create an emotionally driven narrative that connects the viewer to scenes of city life and nature in the Greater Victoria Area.To depict the brutalism and beauty of city architecture Totino leans into the clash of wet paint and bold lines that carve into the paint. In nature she find softness with large abstract brushwork. In all aspects of her work Totino chooses bold colors to set light and mood.
